At the Law Firm of Richard A. Colegrove, Jr., I provide assistance, advice, and representation to clients that are facing legal issues involving the family, that are charged with crimes, and that are considering bankruptcy. These are difficult circumstances for anyone to endure. Having a knowledgeable, experienced, and understanding attorney can be the difference between tackling these challenges and being tackled by them.

If you are contemplating divorce, or your spouse is seeking divorce, you need an attorney that has significant experience working with issues of family law. You may need resolution of issues such as distribution of marital assets and debts, child and spousal support, and custody and visitation. A large portion of my practice has always been devoted to working with family law clients. I have extensive experience negotiating and drafting agreements for my clients on these sensitive issues. For couples litigating their differences on these issues, I provide aggressive advocacy to ensure that my clients’ rights and interests are respected and settlements into which they enter are fair and equitable.

In addition to my family law practice, I represent individuals facing criminal prosecution for misdemeanors and felonies in State and Federal courts. Whether you simply received a traffic citation that you disagree with, or you are charged with a felony, the conviction for which could result in prison time, I will protect your rights and zealously defend you. You have the right to have the attorney of your choice in a criminal case. If you are charged with a crime, the sooner I begin to represent you the better our chances are for a favorable resolution.

For my clients that find themselves overwhelmed with debt, I provide advice and representation on bankruptcy filings. A chapter 7 filing will discharge as much of your debt as possible and give you a financial fresh start. If we decide that bankruptcy is the right solution for you, I will see that you are treated fairly by your creditors and that you receive every possible protection and benefit under the bankruptcy laws.

I take pride in providing outstanding legal services in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. I am devoted to the quality of my representation and the satisfaction of my clients. I work hard to see that my clients’ legal needs are met and as a result, the bulk of my clientele originates from referrals of past or present clients.
